In 1983, all gas heaters by the regulations of the U.S. government needed to be equipped with an oxygen depletion system (ODS). The ODS pilot burner is a very sensitive device that is designed to run a heater if the oxygen content in a range of less than 18%. The normal oxygen level is 21%.
The main problem with this system during the summer months, small creatures, because the dust and hot things to think that the oxygen level is low in the chamber and the heating is turned off. When cleaning and washing with Rust Buster Rating heater works like a charm.
